equanimity in dying

This is an excerpt from a letter from Paula Saffire after joining one of Asha’s streaming talks. You may watch Asha’s talks here.

… “I was drawn to the meetings and finally had the opportunity today.

It healed something in my heart to hear her talk about dying. No one in my family has ever done that. Once only, a Quaker friend of my mother's announced to me with a smile, "My leg has been hurting. I think I'm going to die this year."

I have hoped for many years to have equanimity around dying. Now I have more confidence that it might be so.”

… “Just this morning I was commenting to a friend that I had never known anyone who was able to talk about their dying. Nor had she. Perhaps she—and many others—would like to have the video darshan of Asha”.

with love and gratitude,
Paula
